Clean friendly motel. Loved that all rooms have an entrance from outside on 2 bungalow type buildings and 2 new chairs in front of each unit. Pet friendly. Breakfast of Bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal, fruit, juice, tea and coffee included. Has indoor heated pool, serenity area and jacuzzi..outdoor pool, shuffleboard and bocci. So cute. Wheelchair accessible. Comfy beds. I'd highly recommend. Was very pleasantly surprised.

Good hotel for a short stay. The room itself was clean but minimal and a bit dated, however they gave us a nicer room since we stayed on a quieter night. Having the indoor pool/hot tub/sauna was a huge draw and did not disappoint. Breakfast was better than expected with cereals, toast, juice and coffee. Very relaxed, quaint stay with friendly staff, would definitely go back if we need to stay for a night in the area.

Not only is this place expensive for the room you get, it is dirty and extremely outdated. When we booked it was supposed to be a premium room with a "hot tub" according to the booking. Instead we got a rusted jacuzzi tub for one. There was hairs all over the top comforter, cup rings on the tables and the walls were extremely thin. It was like the room wasn't even cleaned at all. Extremely disappointed we left as soon as we got up in the morning. And to top it all off when we checked our credit card we were charged another 3% city tax on top of regular tax! I called the hotel to find out why we were charged more and they informed us after the fact and said they were unable to remove it now that we left. Not acceptable.

Figured I'd update this review with a description. Been going to Colonial Resort with my family almost every year for the past 20-odd years of my life. The best way to describe this place is 'cozy'. The staff are wonderful, courteous and helpful. The rooms are nice and snug, perfect for hanging in but just small enough that it makes you want to get out and enjoy the town. There's a ton of fun stuff to do including swimming, shuffleboard, playing tennis (with your own equipment), relaxing at the spa, hanging at the bar playing pool and darts, and exploring the town itself. Pulling into the parking lot almost feels like coming home at this point.

We had a great experience at Colonial resort and spa!! The staff is super helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. If you need a place to stay when visiting thousand islands/Gananoque, this is THE PLACE.
